I've been working on this project for quite some time now, on and off for a few months on my free time between this and Overwatch...So finally I called this done. It's out of my expectation that the gun metal material/ texture is so hard to get it right, in fact most of the time spent on getting the gun metal looks as what I wanted (there are so- many different type of gun metal wear reference and it's hard to focus on one).
This project intended for a detailed display of this iconic gun and its internal parts, whether it's for a VR experience or some kind of gun customization screen on a shooter game, use quite a lots of tris count for this and 2 x 4k textures for the screenshot.
